PhD fellowship
France Sclérose en Plaques welcomes any basic and clinical research applications focused on Multiple Sclerosis or related disorders including, for example: immunologic basis of MS, myelin biology, axonal degeneration, restoration of myelin and axonal integrity, susceptibility to MS, epidemiology, virology, infectious disease processes that may trigger disease activity, imaging technology, identification and use of surrogate markers, clinical research and therapeutics, and so on.
- PhD students can apply for fellowships only for their last PhD year (3rd or 4th year) and only if:
- The PhD student is enrolled in a French university doctoral degree program
- The absence of funding for the entire PhD work is clearly justified (only for 3rd year application)
- A 4th year is necessary for the completion of the PhD and is authorized by the French university. In case of a positive answer of France Sclérose en Plaques, the grant will be confirmed only after reception of the authorization from the university - The grant covers one-year salary of a full time PhD student fellowship, with a maximum of 40 K€,
- The host laboratory can be located in France or abroad
- The detailed project of the PhD student must be described in the application form in the "Project file"
- French nationality is not required
- Projects including OFSEP data will be sent to the “Centre de coordination national » (CCN) for feasibility analysis
- It is not possible to combine France Sclérose en Plaques fellowship with any fellowship of another structure
Note: The fellowship granted by France Sclérose en Plaques will have to start before February 1st, 2027.
